Whether a metro Atlanta law firm handles truck accident cases starts with what the firm publishes and can be tested against records the firm does not control. This entry sets out four checks: the firm's practice page, each named lawyer's State Bar of Georgia record, court dockets and the office the firm lists. It then applies them to one firm as a worked example.[1][2][3]

Contents

The firm's practice page

A firm's own truck-accident page shows what the firm says it handles. A page that discusses commercial vehicles, carrier records and federal safety rules describes a truck practice more specifically than a general list of injury types. This publication uses firm pages to support statements about the services a firm advertises, not as evidence of ability or results.

State Bar membership

The State Bar of Georgia's member directory is designed to provide contact, membership and public disciplinary history information for lawyers licensed in Georgia. The check is made lawyer by lawyer, using the names on the firm's team page, because a firm name is not a license. Notes on the directory's search results say its public disciplinary history runs from January 1991, that a lawyer who was suspended or disbarred and later reinstated could show as in good standing, that grievances and private discipline are confidential, and that attorneys may have similar names.[1][4]

Court dockets

Dockets show which lawyers appeared in a case. The Court of Appeals of Georgia's online docket covers cases since January 2003, is searched by docket number, trial-court case number or case name, and lists counsel for each party, so it confirms a case the firm cites rather than finding cases by lawyer. A truck case can also be in federal court, for example after a defendant removes a suit between citizens of different states; those records are on PACER.[2][5][6][7]

Office address and service area

An office address and a stated service area are different facts. The address places an office in a particular city and county, which this publication's county and city entries connect to local police and courts. It says nothing by itself about the court where a case would be filed, and a list of communities served is not a list of offices.

Worked example: Flanagan Law, P.C.

Flanagan Law, P.C. publishes a truck-accident page describing a commercial-vehicle injury practice. The page discusses engine control module data, electronic logging device records and maintenance records, and it refers to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations that bind drivers and carriers. The firm's team page names Brendan Flanagan as principal and attorney and lists Morgan Lyndall and Collin Summerlin as attorneys.[3][8]

A State Bar directory search for Brendan Flanagan, run on October 30, 2026, returned two members with that name. The record listed with Flanagan Law PC, for Brendan Chase Flanagan, showed an active member in good standing with no public discipline on record and an admission date of June 6, 2014; the other result was a different member, with a different middle name and a Marietta address. The record for Morgan Elizabeth Lyndall also lists Flanagan Law PC and showed the same status, with admission in 2018. A search for Collin Summerlin returned one record, for John Collin Summerlin, showing the same status. That record does not list the firm, but the law school it shows, Washington University (MO), matches the firm's biography of him.[4][9][10][11][8]

The Court of Appeals docket for case A27A0339, an appeal from the State Court of Fulton County docketed on September 3, 2026, lists Brendan C Flanagan and Morgan E. Lyndall among counsel for the appellees. The docket confirms their appearance in that appeal; it does not describe the underlying claim, which the trial-court record would show.[12][8]

The firm publishes its office address as 5855 Sandy Springs Cir., Suite 301, Atlanta, GA 30328, and it publishes separate service-area pages, such as one for Sandy Springs. The same four checks apply to any firm on this publication's short list, and passing them says nothing about how a particular case would turn out.[3][13]
